Built in 1914 the restaurant that we now know as the Candle Stick was then the local butcher's, later the identity changed to the local baker's, it seemed only logical to name the restaurant the Candle Stick when the refurbishment happened in 2001. The restaurant, situated on Charleston road, opposite the village green is now under new ownership of Bevan and Jacqui Griffiths a husband and wife team. The couple have recently moved up from Manchester where Bevan was head chef at a city centre restaurant called Live Bait. Using his wealth of experience Bevan has built menu's comprising of only the finest local produce. Our aim is simple.....We promise great food, stylish surrounding's with true Scottish warmth and hospitality.
